How can I know where my child’s school van is?

Before messaging the driver, a tracking link can show whether the van is already on the way.

The question “where is the van?” sounds simple, but a driver may receive it many times during one route. When public tracking is available, the first answer can be on the map itself.

Check the trip state

Do not look only at the dot on the map. Check whether the vehicle is live and when it last communicated. An old position should not be treated as a current location.

Look at the next stop

When available, the next stop helps explain whether the van is approaching your point or still serving another part of the route.

When a direct message still makes sense

Pickup-point changes, unusual delays, special boarding instructions, or a long period without updates are still situations where contacting the driver may be necessary.

How Van Livre can help

Van Livre lets the driver share route tracking so families can check the map and next stop without requesting every location update by message.
