Natal Airport set a first-half passenger record

The terminal recorded 1.38 million passengers in the half-year and strong international growth, according to data released by the airport operator.

What happened

PANROTAS reported that Natal Airport handled 1,387,440 passengers in the first half of 2026, up 18% from the same period a year earlier. International traffic grew even faster.

What this means for drivers

At tourism destinations, more international flights can bring passengers with different schedules, languages and needs. Having the booking, contact and destination organized reduces friction at the moment when the traveler is most tired.

What is worth checking

  • Before changing your operation, confirm whether the information applies to your city, service type and local rules.
  • Record times, route changes and occurrences that may explain delays.
  • Avoid making operational decisions based only on headlines or national figures.
